Dr Michael Fanning is a consultant Respiratory and Sleep Physician with over a decade of specialist clinical experience across public and private hospital settings in South-East Queensland. He has practised at Mater Hospital South Brisbane since 2013 and serves as Medical Director of one of Brisbane's larger private respiratory and sleep laboratory services.
Trained at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the University of Queensland, Dr Fanning brings a uniquely broad perspective — having previously worked as both a pharmacist and general practitioner before specialising in respiratory and sleep medicine.
He holds a Senior Lecturer appointment in the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences at The University of Queensland, reflecting his ongoing commitment to medical education and research.
